About the Artist

A lifelong artist, Gretchen KISH Serrano has become well known for her distinctive pet art collection. A graduate of Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, she continued her studies at the Art Institute of Chicago while working as an art director at Leo Burnett Advertising.

These experiences together with the life-changing adoptions of Sophie and Penelope, her rescued mixed-breed loves, have been the inspiration behind the creation of Paw Palettes.

Influenced by the artists she most admires, her artwork is reminiscent of Picasso, Van Gogh and Matisse among others. Gretchen KISH Serrano founded Paw Palettes® in 2007 to share her playful, master-inspired collection with both art and pet lovers.

Gretchen KISH Serrano created Paw Palettes to share her art with all pet lovers. For years she has been asked, "If I give you a photo can you paint my pet?" She not only can, she would love to! A pet makes a house a home. Original art makes a home uniquely yours. A KISH original is not a traditional pet portrait, it is an  artistic expression of love for your pet. KISH will discuss a variety of artistic style options for your one-of-a-kind artwork. Visit her original art website for more information on how you can own a "KISH Original."
