A lifelong artist, Gretchen Kish Serrano has become well known for her distinctive pet art collection. As a graduate of Northern Illinois University, she studied graphic design and advertising. She continued study at the Art Institute of Chicago while working as an art director at Leo Burnett Advertising in Chicago.
These experiences with the life-changing adoptions of Sophie and Penelope, her rescued mixed dog breeds, have been the inspiration behind the creation of Paw Palettes.
Influenced by the artists she most admires, her artwork is reminiscent of Picasso, van Gogh, Matisse among others. Gretchen Kish Serrano founded Paw Palettes® in 2007 to share her playful, master-inspired collection with both art and pet lovers.
A Thank you to Paw Palettes Patrons:
"For all who have helped and encouraged me—from my family and friends; to those who have emailed me photos for reference; to those who have purchased my art, art prints, note cards, coffee mugs, pillows or garden flags. You are all part of the creation of Paw Palettes Art Collection—a tribute to all our pets for their unconditional love and enrichment of our lives.
And a special thank you to my son Enzo and daughter Gigi—who are very important members of the Paw Palettes brainstorming dream team and to my husband Joe who manages the production of the merchandise you see here that display my art"
